Well, the summer of the Green House has come to an end. Last Saturday we moved back in with my parents. Emerson starts school on Tuesday and after looking at the school schedule, there will be no turning back.

We enjoyed our time at the Green House. It was a few doors down from LMU and so we'd go there often to run around and enjoy the view from the cliffs. We discovered a wonderful little Japanese crepe place and a delicious Mexican restaurant. The local Bristol Farms sold scrumptious warm homemade cookies and had good organic produce prices. You think you know a neighborhood but you really don't until you've lived there. Westchester, Ca. has somehow managed to hold on to a piece of small town in the middle of the big city.

Thank you to the Tuggy's for allowing us into your home.

We are on the last stop of our house hopping journey. Originally we planned to be at my parents till November, but now it's mid January. I am thankful to my parents for letting us invade their house for, what is now, 6 months.

Personally, I am tired. Tired of moving, living out of boxes, not having our own stuff, and own place. I am overwhelmed looking at the September schedule and somewhat anxious about starting a new school. But I was reminded today, am I actively pursuing a holy life? What is holy in all those thoughts? NOTHING. It is pure distraction to keep me from being holy. I have a chance to "experience a nearness to Christ that strengths my faith and fills me with peace. Whereas, then I  become a cleansed temple of the Holy Spirit, who is able to do in and through me immeasurably more than I could ask or imagine." -Jesus Calling

And we had a wonderfully full summer. Just this last week we went to a citizenship ceremony, did a two dayer at Disneyland with Josh's side, and took the kids to a Dodger game. Josh's boss gave him an extra week off and so he was with us all week. I am grateful for these things.

Landon's Favorite

The kids always like to pick who they are in books.

E usually picks the asian girl, or the girl in the prettiest dress. But Landon, Landon always picks the same person no matter what. And it's always a boy and he's always black.

I once asked him if he likes the black person the best and he corrected me and said, "no no mommy, brown guy. I'm the brown guy." I stand corrected.

Have a great weekend.

Cousins Trip

We spent last weekend at an AirBNB in Palm Springs with family. It was 117 degrees but fully air-conditioned. We had a great time. The kids basically lived in the pool and the adults got to play a board game after the kids went to bed. spoiled!

We have one last thing planned for summer before we move back to my parents and Emerson starts school. One more memory. At our favorite place. =)

Pool House Update

Heeeeey!

Sorry for the absence. I know it must be maddening for the faithful few who check back each day and there's NOTHING for weeks on end. That would drive me crazy. But if you've been with me a while you know that a long silence usually denotes something brewing. Cliffhanger =p

In the meantime, here's a picture of the house with the controversial window color choice which I'm still not sold on. Maybe they'll look better with walls?

Gad I love that ceiling though.

Thursday

Tsubasa and Shion !!!!

This week we've had VBS at church and it's thrown our schedule but it is so worth it. My heart can hardly take all the love my kids get from the people in our church.

Landon is too young to be in a class but every night Meliss has taken him to watch the skit and the music while I'm working registration. After that he is happily running around making mischief of some kind while E enjoys class.

And a new repeat.
