This year summer really feels like summer. The kids are sleeping in and going to bed late. We have been to the beach more times than I have been in 10 years combined and it seems like they have eaten more sweets than they ever have too. We've taken day trips and rode the train. We've played outside till dusk and swam in the pool every day. We even went to a Dodger game! It has all been quite glorious.
Josh's week off is coming to a close. We loved having him 24-7. He taught the kids how to fly a kite, took Landon into the ocean for the first time, introduced the kids to sand crabs, blew up the kiddie pool, marinated and bbq'ed for us, raced around the living room with Lighting (aka Emerson), bought Landon a tee ball set and then reset the tee over and over, read a thousand books, and wrestled and tickled and chased and hugged our babies and kissed them again and again.
What a dad.
What a week.
What a life.
