It is extraordinary that the leadership of the civil rights movement fought for change through peace. Refusing to give in to violence in the face of frightful injustice must have bordered the impossible. The world today doesn't seem to have the guts to fight for something with only the voracity of will, a strength in numbers, and the power of words.
